        Oteng T Sebonego

        Chief Executive Officer

        Oteng is the CEO of Thusano Capital, bringing a wealth of experience in private equity and investment management across Africa. Prior to joining Thusano, Oteng served as Investment Director at Norsad Capital, where he managed the analyst team, led fintech strategy, and  East and West Africa coverage. His notable achievements include innovative mezzanine investments in renewable energy and education infrastructure projects.

        Before joining Norsad, Oteng founded O&E Consulting, specializing in due diligence for private equity funds in Sub Sahara Africa. His investment career began at AfriCap, where he redesigned the investment processes, as an Investment Associate.

        Oteng holds a BA (cum laude) in Actuarial Science from the University of Hartford, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University.

        Mothusi Mbole

        Compliance Officer

        Mothusi Mbole brings over a decade of experience in the financial industry, serving at management level in the past four years. His career began at the Non-Bank Financial Institutions Regulatory Authority (NBFIRA) as a Retirement Funds Assistant Analyst. In 2018, he joined Minet Botswana Retirement Solutions, formerly known as AON, where he made significant strides. Initially serving as a Retirement Fund Consultant, Mothusi was later promoted to Risk and Compliance Manager and took on the responsibilities of the Anti-Money Laundering/Counter Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) Officer.

        Over the past four years, Mothusi has shared his expertise as a speaker and moderator at numerous conferences, both locally and internationally. His presentations have covered a range of topics including governance, ESG, risk management, and anti-money laundering.

        Mothusi holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce (Financial Planning) from Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management from Botswana Accountancy College. Additionally, he has enhanced his leadership skills through Supervisory Skills and Management Development Program at IDM.

        Thabiso Aaron Keitseope

        Investment Analyst

        Thabiso Aaron Keitseope brings over seven years of post-qualification experience in the financial services industry. Prior to Joining Thusano Capital, he served as an Associate in the Transaction Advisory Services team at Grant Thornton. In this role, he was involved in building and reviewing complex financial models, conducting in-depth financial analysis, and executing business valuations. He also conducted valuations of financial instruments including fixed income securities, and employee share options. His experience extends to leading M&A transactions, supporting capital raising efforts, conducting financial due diligence and reviews, industry research, and preparing businesses for investor readiness (business grooming).
         
        Prior to joining Grant Thornton, Thabiso spent nearly five years at Forvis Mazars as an Accounting Executive. His responsibilities included preparing financial statements (financial reporting) for a diverse client base, producing monthly management reports, managing tax filing, overseeing data entry operations, performing general ledger analysis and account reconciliations, cashflow forecasting, managing credit control, and handling payroll processing for selected clients.
         
        Thabiso is a CFA Level 2 candidate scheduled to sit for the exam this year. He holds a Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Accounting from Botho University and is a triple-certified analyst through the Corporate Finance Institute, holding the Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA), Capital Markets & Securities Analyst (CMSA) and Commercial Banking & Credit Analyst (CBCA) certifications. He also holds Certificates of Proficiency in both Short-Term and Long-Term Insurance.

        Nicholson Salani

        Senior Investment Analyst

        Nicholson Salani is a Senior Investment Analyst at Thusano Capital. He brings extensive experience in investment appraisal, financial modeling, and portfolio management, having worked on transactions across renewable energy, real estate, financial institutions, and agribusiness.

        Before joining Thusano Capital, Nicholson was an Investment Analyst at Norsad Capital, an impact investor focused on sub-Saharan Africa. Prior to that, he was a Financial Advisory Consultant at Deloitte Consulting Botswana, where he led valuations and feasibility studies for fintech and infrastructure projects.

        Nicholson holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Economics and a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance & Economics from the University of Cape Town. He was recognized on the Dean’s Merit List and received the Allan Gray Award for academic excellence. He is a certified Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) from the Corporate Finance Institute and has completed Levels 1 and 2 of the CFA Program.

        Jenny Kelapile

        Office Manager

        Jenny Kelapile is the Office Manager at Thusano Capital (Pty) Ltd, bringing a decade of experience in administrative management, procurement, and operations. She previously spent 10 years at Huawei Technologies Botswana (Pty) Ltd, where she progressed through the ranks to Administration Manager, gaining extensive expertise in corporate administration, procurement processes, and operational efficiency.

        Jenny holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Studies from Botho University and a Diploma in Accounting and Business Administration from the University of Botswana. Passionate about continuous learning, she is committed to expanding her knowledge by pursuing a master's in business administration, as well as obtaining a CIPS certification to further enhance her expertise in procurement and financial management skills.

        With a strong foundation in administration, procurement, finance, and technology, Jenny is committed to enhancing operational efficiency and driving strategic initiatives at Thusano Capital (Pty) Ltd.
